Guidelines for Parking in the Riderwood Community

From the begining when this community was first built, parking has always been a concern and was one of the first issues that was addressed once the first Riderwood HOA Board was established. The rules are quite simple;

1.) There are 2 numbered parking spaces that have been allocated to each Riderwood resident. If you don't know what 2 parking spaces have been assigned to you as a resident, send an e-mail to the Riderwood HOA Board e-mail link on this site and we will assist.

2.) Parking in a parking space that belongs to another resident without permission is strictly prohibited and this includes visiting guests. The consequence is the vehicle in violation will be towed at the owners expense. Additionally, if the towing company is contacted and a tow truck shows up, the owner of the vehicle in violation is still responsible for paying the towing company for the call.

3.) Un-marked parking spaces are for the use of both residents and their guests. No one can claim ownership of any un-marked parking spaces!

4.) Parking in marked fire lanes or less than 2 car lengths from a stop sign or street corner is strickly prohibited and is punishable by towing and possible ticketing by local law enforcement.

5.) On park space striping days, it is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to make arrangements to have their vehicle clear of the work area where the parking striping is taking place. Notices will be either posted on this website or mailed well in advance so that residents are well aware of the day or days this will take place. Vehicles will be towed at the owners expense if a vehicle is left in a parking space that is due to be re-striped and prohibits the hired striping company from completing their work.

6.) Only vehicles with a valid license plate are permitted to be parked in any parking space, numbered or un-marked. Vehicles without a valid license plate or appear to be abandoned are subject to be towed at the owners expense.

Please be courteous to your neighbors and the other residents of the Riderwood Community by following these guidelines and help avoid any problems or circumstances regarding this matter. Should anyone have a problem they feel they can't resolve, contact the Riderwood HOA Board at the e-mail address listed on this website.
